A 2nd Year of Projects
Well, the 1st of July is upon us again and I can't believe its been a whole year since I started this!! The second year of projects starts today and I have learnt a lot over the past year. Mainly that a very specific list of projects was never going to get completed!!
This year I will be slightly less specific on my projects, mainly because I know that I'll probably change my mind about patterns and there are always new ones being released. Sooo.....
I need to finish the following WIPs....
Peerie Flooers hat
BMC - the very long rows and two balls need Oscar to be sleeping better!
Nonna
Mojo socks
Japanese slippers
Japanese shawl
Girasole baby shawl
Arielle
Then new projects...
Owls jumper - a second one for me because I've worn the one I have to death!
Boreal jumper - for me because I love it!
Boys jumpers - maybe just Guston for Oscar, I have just done one for Alfie, maybe Iain Jr for both
Gloves - definitely for me, maybe kids too - Grove/Shipyard mittens/Dustland Mitts?
Scarf for me - Topiary/Kildare/Oslo?
Stasis pullover - me
West Knits MKAL
Orchids and Fairy Lights - for the Ravellenic Games
Maybe another cowl - Pippi/Inspira cowl/Jig
Still light tunic/Topstykke - I love both of these but am not sure whether I'll ever manage that amount of 4ply stocking stitch!!
Well, here goes!! There'll definitely be lots of other projects throughout the year as well as these. If you want to join in visit the Year of Projects Group on Ravelry!

Some fab projects on there, Becky! It seems most of us have learned to leave the list a little more flexible the second time around :)

Just what I was thinking Sarah!!
DeleteI'm very excited to see the West Knits MKAL on your list, can't wait to see that one finished
ReplyDeleteMe too! Its my first Mystery KAL!
DeleteGreat idea to include some WIPs on your list!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Its my motivation to get a bit more done on them if not finish them!
DeleteLove some of the projects on your list, some of those sweaters are just gorgeous. I like your idea of making it less specific this year.
ReplyDeleteHopefully it'll mean I complete more of it this year without changing things about too much
DeleteVery nice list and including finishing what you already have is a great way to motivate yourself isn't it? Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHopefully!
DeleteI can't wait to see the West Knits MKAL. I'm really torn about doing it this year so I hope you have fun with it.
ReplyDeleteDo it with me!!
DeleteOh that Owl jumper, it makes me want to knit it's so lovely. What a lovely list you have.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a fantastic pattern :-)
DeleteIt's great to be more flexible, it makes it so much easier to stick to your list. I included all my WIPs as well, hopefully it'll encourage me to finish!
ReplyDeleteSorry for the deleted comment, I realised my space bar had broken and it had no spaces in it!
Definitely!! The comment has now gone forever!!
DeleteOh I just love Peerie Flooers - can't wait to see yours!
ReplyDeletei thought i learned a lot too...my list IS smaller...10 items smaller. LOL! looking forward to watching your progress!
ReplyDeleteI love your list. I'm really looking forward to seeing you work through it. I find the more blogs I look at, the more my favourites list grows!
ReplyDeleteA nice organized and well thought out list with variety. I think variety is lacking on my list. Best of luck as we all embark on this mission of a 2nd year of projects.
ReplyDeleteI love owls lately, and I added your sweater to my list of "going to knit it even if I have to sell my husband to get the wool" projects.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I like the look of the Stasis pullover! Nice list :D
ReplyDeleteNice to see you again--and just have to say that Orchids and Fairy Lights just was added to my favorites. I am thinking it might be perfect for my daughter!
ReplyDelete*smiles cheery thoughts*
